Clinical Hypnosis and Transpersonal Care for Professionals and Individuals
Jessie Santiago, CCHt
I am especially drawn to working with people who spend their lives caring for others. Therapists, doctors, teachers, community leaders, and healers often carry a double weight. They are responsible for their own growth while also being asked to show up with clarity and compassion for those around them. That can lead to overthinking and intellectualizing feelings. Knowing why a pattern exists does not always mean the pattern changes.
I know this firsthand. Years of trauma therapy gave me vocabulary for my history and sharpened my awareness, but it did not always change the decisions I was making. I still found myself repeating behaviors I thought I had already worked through. It was not until I found hypnosis that I began to experience meaningful change.
Hypnosis works directly with the subconscious, where our patterns live. None of us can escape our subconscious conditioning, but we can engage it, learn from it, and reshape it. That is where change becomes both possible and lasting.
From irrational fears and phobias to better sleep, attachment patterns, and the way we show up in relationships, hypnosis can support almost any presenting challenge. What makes clinical hypnotherapy unique is its somatic element. The body is part of the process, not left behind. The experience of hypnosis engages mind and body together in a way few modalities do. For professionals who already have insight yet feel stuck between understanding and action, hypnosis offers a bridge. It helps knowledge turn into choice, and choice turn into new behavior.
Why Professionals Refer to Me
Evidence based
I practice clinical hypnotherapy grounded in research and formal training. Studies show hypnosis is effective for stress, anxiety, sleep issues, phobias, and habit change. For clients who already have insight but feel stuck in patterns, hypnosis helps turn understanding into action.
Culturally aware
I provide inclusive care that acknowledges the impact of race, gender, sexuality, and lived experience. Many clients arrive having felt unseen or misunderstood in other settings. My role is to hold space that respects the complexity of identity while supporting change.
Trauma informed
All sessions are rooted in safety, choice, and collaboration. I understand how trauma shapes the nervous system and behavior, and I adapt hypnosis to meet each client where they are. This makes the work accessible to clients who may be sensitive to traditional therapeutic approaches.
Experienced
I bring more than 20 years in healing, education, and client care. My background as a stylist, educator, and hypnotherapist has given me a rare combination of technical skill and relational insight. I know how to listen deeply, track subtle cues, and support people through transitions.
A complement to therapy and healthcare
I do not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment. Instead, I work alongside it. Many therapists and healthcare providers refer clients to me when insight has plateaued or when a body-based approach is needed. Hypnosis can reduce resistance, help clients regulate more effectively, and accelerate the progress they are already making in therapy or treatment.
How I Work with Helping Professionals
Consultation and goals
We begin with a short conversation to clarify the client’s goals, history, and current challenges. This helps us set clear outcomes for the session or series of sessions.
Education and orientation
I explain how hypnosis works, address common questions, and create a sense of safety. This step is especially important for professionals who may be used to other therapeutic models.
Assessment
I use tools and structured questions to understand how the subconscious mind prefers to take in information and suggestions. This allows me to tailor the session to each client’s unique suggestibility and communication style.
Therapeutic work
Depending on the client’s needs, this can include reframing limiting beliefs, strengthening positive patterns, working with somatic cues, or addressing specific behaviors such as stress responses, sleep, or attachment patterns.
Integration
We close the session by reorienting to the present and reviewing insights. Clients often leave with new clarity, tools, or anchors they can use in daily life.
Follow-up
For lasting results, I may suggest a series of sessions or specific practices between sessions. Referring providers often appreciate receiving updates with client consent.

Referral Information
